“This application is safe and developed by the nation’s own children. It can be downloaded at the Play Store and App Store, “said Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate in his official statement at Media Center Task Force for the Acceleration of Handling COVID-19, Graha National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Jakarta, Saturday (18 / 4).
Therefore, Johnny asked the public, especially ASN, TNI, Polri and BUMN employees to immediately download the application on their smart phones.
Related to personal data, said Johnny, also guaranteed to have been protected through Ministerial Decree Number 171 of 2020. All parties who manage the application are required to clean up the data when the COVID-19 pandemic health emergency has ended.
According to Kominfo data, the application has been installed by 1,915,874 users on mobile phones, in order to break the chain of COVID-19 deployment in Indonesia.
The CareCopy application works by using tracking, tracing, and fencing methods to detect the movement of someone who is historically positive for COVID-19.
Based on the results of tracking and tracing bluetooth , the application will detect the presence of someone COVID-19 positive around the user and gives a warning to run the health protocol.
According to Kominfo, the more people who install the Care Protect application, the higher the accuracy of the detection of the spread of the corona virus so that it will help cope with the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia.
“This application aims to protect ourselves from being infected with COVID-19. Thus, it will facilitate the government’s task to break the COVID-19 chain, “concluded Johnny.
